We need people to man a table at Kimball Farm to sell Golf Balls for out October Helicopter Golf Ball Drop fundraiser. It will be a big weekend for Kimball’s and we have a new, primo location in the food area. Please contact Mary Foerster with your availability (mary@maryff.com).

The Zeffy link to buy balls is operational. One of our goals is to find sponsors to offset the major costs and all that’s left is a sponsor for the First Prize - $2500. The flyer and link are on the website. The flyer has a QR code to take people right to the Zeffy page selling balls. Print it out and post on bulletin boards, store windows, etc.
All meetings will be hybrid meetings, in-person and Zoom. If you can’t make it in person, drop in via Zoom. Login at the end of this email.

Other Efforts
Westford – Acton/Boxboro Rotary Club Football Luncheon
It’s our turn to host this annual luncheon event, the week before Thanksgiving, for the seniors in the Westford and Acton High School football teams, cheerleaders and coaches.
The date will be Friday 20 November, in place of our regular meeting. It will be at the Nabnasset Lake Country Club. We are looking for someone to run point on this. We need a caterer (two have been suggested) and a speaker. The speaker should be someone appropriate for a football event, such as a current or former professional in the area.
New Proposed Effort
Various Rotary clubs have installed “peace poles” in strategic locations such as along rail trails and gardens. We are looking into this as a way to align with our peace theme, for installation along the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. More to come.

Volunteer Opportunities

These volunteer opportunities that note, “we will have a table” means that we will have a presence at the event, usually under our Rotary canopy with various giveaways, sometimes games, and information on the Rotary mission and activities. These provide an opportunity to “show our colors” in the community and attract potential members. It’s also a chance to socialize with other community organizations. Patti does most of the coordination (and work) but it would be good for members to participate to distribute the workload. Please coordinate with Patti.
