Good Day, I am quite privileged and equally proud to be representing the Rotary Club of Westford as it's 2007/2008 President. One of the key components in our mission for my term is to earmark a large percentage of the thousands of dollars we raise to local charities, non profits and scholarships. To date we have provided significant resources to local organizations such as: The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (via "Blister Buddies" a local walking team) The Merrimack Valley Food Bank Habitat for Humanity (building a home in Westford this year) Town of Westford "Bandstand Replication and Common Restoration Project" The Westford School System and Nashoba Valley Technical High School with multiple scholarships Provided every 3rd grader in the Town of Westford with their own dictionary Internationally we are also committed to support the "Wheelchair Foundation" and "Polio Plus" to help eradicate polio worldwide as well as many others. Our major fundraiser for 2008 is our 7th annual Blues 'n' Brews Festival held at the Nashoba Valley Ski Area on August 23rd. We will also be doing another major fundraiser at NVSA on February 6th 2008 where most of our net proceeds will go to our local scholarship fund.
